Hi! I'm Dan Cochran. I'm a game programmer based in Campbell, CA. My current mission is to write high performance game code on the PC and my current project is Unstable Selection at UCSC's Games and Playable Media masters program.

My love of game platforms has led me to create games in C++, Unity, HTML5, and PICO-8. I take a data-oriented design approach to ensure I'm making the most of what these tools can do. In my team projects I've taken the lead in integrating external tools and assets, and keeping the game playtestable throughout production.

In my spare time I'm a huge pinniped fan and vintage hardware nerd. On the second front I've been programming an OP3 music player for a 486 DOS machine, as well as setting up toolchains to program for the GBA, Wii, and PS1.
